About the Data Explorer Domain Tool #

Open the Data Explorer Domain Tool (published 6/30/2022)

This tool was created by HMIS admins to allow users to explorer the domains and data elements inside of the Data Explorer in an easy-to-use interactive format outside of report creation.

Exploring by Domain #

Click on a domain to see the full list of data elements in that domain (main image, left) and any secondary domains that can be linked to the selected domain (buttons, right).

Secondary Domains and Links #

Click on a secondary domain to see the data elements included in it. The data linking the two domains shows between the domain clouds. Click the clouds to navigate between the data element image lists.

Search by Data Element #

Select a data element from the list (sorted by domain) to see the main domain for that data element, other data elements within that domain, and applicable secondary domains.
