Housing Forward appoints Sarah Kahn to President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Sarah Kahn brings over 20 years of experience in homeless services in the US and around the world, a proven track record of leading data-informed strategies that work in Dallas and Collin Counties, and a passion for serving neighbors experiencing homelessness.

 

DALLAS, TX – Housing Forward today announced that interim Chief Executive Officer Sarah Kahn has been named President and CEO to lead in the development and implementation of an effective homeless response system to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring in Dallas and Collin Counties. 

 

Kahn rose to the position having served as the organization’s chief program officer since 2021, where she led work with All Neighbors Coalition, a collective of over 140 organizations working in collaboration to solve homelessness in Dallas and Collin counties.

 

Peter Brodsky, Housing Forward Chairman said, “In her time with Housing Forward, Sarah Kahn has built a proven track record of success with her expertise, problem-solving skills and partnership with leaders across Dallas and Collin Counties working to reduce homelessness. She has the respect of Housing Forward staff and All Neighbors Coalition. Her key accomplishments include leading programmatic changes that helped reduce unsheltered homelessness last year by 14% and reduced chronic homelessness by 32%, despite national trends She has the full support and confidence of the Board and we are thrilled she has agreed to step into the CEO role.
