Wow!

It took us a little more than a week, but we have finally tallied up our Homeless Count volunteer numbers (including law enforcement), all across Dallas and Collin Counties, and well, um, wow. We had more than 1,750 volunteers!

Thank you again to each and every one of you for helping us, for the fifth year in a row, pull off the largest homeless count in Texas history. This time we not only had more volunteers than ever before, but we covered more cities than we did in all previous years.

Don’t forget to join us on March 19, 2020, 9.30-11.30am, as our President and CEO, Carl Falconer, will deliver the State of Homelessness Address, at Communities Foundation of Texas. (Note location change!)

The address, which attracts 300 people, not only covers the results of the count, but also includes a thorough review of the progress of Dallas’ homeless response system over the preceding year, and the next steps the community must take to make homelessness, in Dallas and Collin Counties, rare, brief and nonrecurring.

Sponsoring the State of Homelessness Address is a great way to show the community that you are committed to ending homelessness! Click here to download a sponsorship packet!
