In this third get together on January 6, 2021, Carl discussed his employment history, from the paper route he worked as a kid, through his service in the U.S. Army, to running large programs and organizations fighting to end homelessness in Florida.
He explained different lessons he learned in each position and how those lessons continue to inform his work in ending homelessness in Dallas and Collin Counties.
Now that Carl has shared his story, we will begin to utilize Coffee with Carl to discuss specific issues related to homelessness and our efforts to make it rare, brief and nonrecurring.
To make Coffee with Carl more convenient and accessible, future episodes will be taped in advance, so everyone can watch at their leisure. They will still drop every first Wednesday of the month.
