We are excited to announce that we have set a date for Dallas and Collin Counties’ next Homeless Count – Thursday, January 21, 2021.
First United Methodist Church Dallas and Wilshire Baptist Church have graciously agreed to serve as deployment sites for the Dallas teams for a fifth year in a row, and, as in the past, we will have multiple smaller sites too, throughout the suburbs.
We hope to continue to add additional cities to the Count. If your city has not yet participated, and you would like them to, please let us know, so we can figure out how to add them, because we truly believe that in Dallas, everybody counts!
We envision we will, once again, need about 1,500 volunteers. We will begin recruitment around December 7, 2020, with the goal of ending it around January 16, 2021. For now, all you need to do is mark your calendars for Thursday, January 21, 2021.
You can always visit our Homeless (PIT) Count page on the MDHA website. During recruitment, that is where we post all the info about volunteering for the Count, and throughout the year we have great info about our previous counts, going all the way back to 2013.
