Meet our Chief Financial Officer, Mackeshia Brown
Mackeshia Brown brings a wealth of expertise in financial management strategy, policies, and planning with over two decades of experience providing financial oversight in the non-profit industry. Mackeshia rose to the CFO position having served as Housing Forward’s Vice President of Finance & Operations where she led the organization’s financial strategy and oversaw operations throughout the Lead Agency’s transformation.
Prior to joining Housing Forward, Mackeshia provided fiscal leadership during a 19-year tenure with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Inc. in various positions within the finance department, including serving as Director of Accounting.
Meet our Chief Program Officer, Rae Clay
Rae Clay brings over 15 years of leadership experience to the Chief Program Officer role. She advanced to this position after serving as Housing Forward’s Director of Operations where she led agency transformation, operations, and rehousing program administration. Rae built the organization’s first cross-functional team responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and providing technical assistance to subrecipients which established Housing Forward as a financial intermediary for system-wide rehousing projects. In October of 2021, Rae led the grants and contract division to support the Dallas Real Time Rapid Rehousing (DRTRR) Initiative, a collaboration between housing authorities, city governments, and direct service providers to rehouse over 2,600 individuals experiencing homelessness.
Before joining Housing Forward, Rae worked in Mesquite ISD as an Assistant Principal and started her career as an Industrial Engineer for U.P.S.
