Silvia Melesio, of Family Gateway, is a 2020 Case Manager of the Year Award finalist in the Radiant Rookie category.
Silvia has been instrumental in helping Family Gateway empower Hispanic families. She has translated oral and verbal communications and eliminated the language barrier for Spanish only speakers. These efforts have not only made Family Gateway more hospitable and culturally competent but have helped guest families shorten their shelter stays through family reunification and get into their own housing. Congratulations, Silvia!
