Sharel Key, Metrocare Services
Sharel Key works for Metrocare Services, and was nominated by Bianca Zamora. Bianca tells us that, “Sharel uses her sense of humor to help build rapport with individuals who, based on their history and diagnosis of mental illness, might be reluctant to trust others.” Bianca marvels at the personal example Sharel sets, and cites a specific case: “Sharel was able to assist many… with their goal of decreasing their need… for tobacco… by quitting smoking herself…” Wow! This is just one reason that Bianca sums up her view of Sharel’s workl: “The support she has provided… has helped… change… lives…” Congratulations, Sharel!
Andrinika “Andi” Austin, Legacy Counseling Center
Andrinika “Andi” Austin works for Legacy Counseling Center, and was nominated by Mark Johnson. Mark tells us that, “Andi has a unique way of building her clients’ confidence,” and that this is important, as she has, “worked with some colorful clients in her tenure here at Legacy.” He feels that she has been successful, as she has, “utilized both evidence based approaches as well as learned techniques she acquired along her journey as a mental health professional. She recognizes that healing starts with stability. Housing offers a client to start the process of healing once they are housed…” Congratulations, Andrinika!
