Over the next few days, we will highlight each of the finalists for the Case Manager of the Year Award 2019. Today, we highlight Janaye Easter and Logan Ferguson.
Janaye Easter, Our Friends Place
Janaye Easter works for Our Friends Place and was nominated by Nicole Price. Nicole tells us that Janaye, “has always had a passion for working with youth to improve their options.” Janaye stands out among all of our finalists in that she lives with her clients, which can be challenging for some case managers. Not for Janaye, though! Nicole attributes this to Janaye’s philosophy of life-long learning: “In my experience, it is rare to find a post-graduate adult willing to learn and grow to the extent that I have seen Janaye,” do so. Congratulations, Janaye!
Logan Ferguson, Austin Street Center
Logan Ferguson works for Austin Street Center, and was nominated by Dustin Perkins. Dustin’s words speak for themselves, and are music to our ears: “Logan… led Austin Street Center’s efforts in the… 100 Day Veterans Challenge. He met multiple times with MDHA staff and used shelter intake and service data to identify and engage every veteran who walked through our doors… His efforts resulted in a dozen clients being housed… Information he learned… can and will be applied the next time around.” Congratulations, Logan!
