Our next two finalists for the Case Manager of the Year Award 2019 are Jabar Bradley and Lacy Schuiteman.
Jabar Bradley, Family Gateway
Jabar Bradley works for Family Gateway and was nominated by Ta’Cherrie Durant. Ta’Cherrie tells us: “A client recently… (had) a problem with a neighbor… Her children were threatened. She called the police… and then texted Jabar… that the police were on their way. When she opened the door for the police, Jabar was with them. She… was relieved… that she would not have to talk to the police alone. Jabar… report(ed) the incident to the leasing office and ensured her children got to school safely over the next few weeks… Jabar truly cares about his families and will do whatever it takes to support them.” Congratulations, Jabar!
Lacy Schuiteman, The Stewpot
Lacy Schuiteman works for The Stewpot, and was nominated by Laura Westerlage. Laura tells us: “Lacy has a passion for our most vulnerable clients… She has a keen sense… (of) when someone is having a hard time, or possibly dealing with a substance abuse problem, and is often able to talk them down… Lacy makes the duty of a caseworker appear to be a cake walk. She has a quiet confidence in the challenging work she does to help people. She is knowledgeable, resourceful, and dependable… She has a genuine passion in seeing our clients defeat adversity.” Congratulations, Lacy!
