The MDHA Flex Fund numbers are in for the busiest year of the Fund, on record, July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019:
- Number of individuals and families helped: 359
- Number of client solutions provided: 563
- Total expenditures: $161,573.33

We are tremendously thankful to those who have donated to the Flex Fund, so far, this year. We have had a few individual donors, with the bulk of the funding coming from foundations and United Way.
General Use in Dallas and Collin Counties:
- King Foundation – $60,000
- Perot Foundation – $65,000
- United Way of Metropolitan Dallas – $20,000 (Multiyear grant 2019-2022, $20,000 per year, paid out in monthly installments)
- Walmart Foundation (Sam’s Club #8242) – $500
Collin County Use Only:
- Junior League of Collin County – $2,500
Veterans’ Use Only:
- USAA Foundation – $12,000
- Anonymous Foundation – $9,000 (Challenge grant unlocked through the USAA Foundation grant)
We estimate that we will need about $222,000 to meet all of the Flex Fund needs, during the July 2019-June 2020 period. So, we can’t slow down with our fundraising for the Flex Fund!
