Ending Homelessness With a Little (OK, a Lot of) Help From Our Friends at United Way

This last Friday, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) awarded MDHA $30,000 from its Coronavirus Response & Recovery Fund. With Dallas’ homeless response system already reeling and a tsunami of need just around the corner, MDHA, which has just begun to turn the tide in the fight to end homelessness, is already and will continue to be severely tested in the days to come. MDHA’s work will increase exponentially, as it works with its partners to not only continue to work towards ending homelessness but prevent others from falling into it.

This grant, requested through the North Texas Cares COVID-19 funders collaborative, provides MDHA with a shot in the arm, as it leads Dallas’ homeless response system in rising to this once in a generation challenge.

You can read more about UWMD’s ongoing support of MDHA’s work, since 2015, on our dedicated United Way Support page.
