Register NOW to be a Point-in-Time (PIT) Count Volunteer!
MDHA is excited to invite community members to VOLUNTEER with us the night of February 24th at 5:00 PM for our annual Point in Time Count, an opportunity to count sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness.
Groups of 3-4 community volunteers will be assigned to different census tracts throughout Dallas and Collin Counties. These volunteers will seek and survey those experiencing unsheltered homelessness. The data collected by volunteers will help MDHA and the Homeless Collaborative understand trends to inform data-driven strategy and implementation.
How do I register to volunteer?
1. Find 3-4 friends, colleagues, or family members that you want to join you the night of the count.
2. Decide on a unique Group Name that each member of your team will use when registering. This helps us pair you up for the Count.
3. Register to volunteer at the 2022 PIT Count.
4. Each member of your team must register individually. When you get to “Group Name”, be sure to include your group’s pre-selected name.
5. Select a region or census tract that your group prefers to cover.
