Who can/should join the Homeless Collaborative, aka Continuum of Care (CoC)?
Membership is open to any organization (public or private), government entity, corporation, or individual who agrees with the mission and values of the Homeless Collaborative. Though many of our members are homeless services providers, many others are not.
What are the benefits of Homeless Collaborative or Continuum of Care (CoC) membership?
Benefits that apply to everyone:
- Be a part of a robust network of 90+ public, private, and nonprofit members, working together to make the experience of homelessness in Dallas and Collin Counties rare, brief, and non-recurring
- Show friends and supporters that you are serious about ending homelessness, through a collective impact approach
- Participate in the monthly General Assembly, vote on decisions and resolutions, and elect the Homeless Collaborative Executive Council
- Participate in one of our Homeless Collaborative Workgroups, and foster greater collaboration, improve policies and practices, and make homeless services more efficient
Benefits that apply specifically to homeless services providers:
- Free access to MDHA’s Homeless Management Information System and/or data warehouse

- Access to funding opportunities for your organization to permanently house those experiencing homelessness
- Access to the monthly Case Managers Roundtable, as well as targeted trainings to help improve client outcomes

When and where are your regular meetings held?
General Assembly: The General Assembly meets monthly, usually on the fourth Tuesday of the month, at 9am.
Case Managers Roundtable: The Case Managers Roundtable is held monthly, usually on the fourth Wednesday of the month, at noon.
Workgroups: The workgroups accomplish specific tasks to conceive, test, and implement policies and practices that improve how providers work together to make services more efficient. Workgroup meeting times vary.
