Our next two finalists for the Case Manager of the Year Award 2019 are Sharon Kuykendall and John Little.
Sharon Kuykendall, The Salvation Army
Sharon Kuykendall works for the Salvation Army and was nominated by Sarah Masih. Sarah tells us, “One day, as I was doing a daily walk-through of the program area, I witnessed Sharon assisting in a particularly difficult case… I commended her on how well she handled the situation. Sharon responded, ‘I always think, there but for the grace of God go I…’ This perspective can be seen in the numerous positive housing placements she has (made) over the course of 2019 and the positive relationship(s) she has with her clients. “Congratulations, Sharon!
John Little, Metro Relief
John Little works for Metro Relief, and was nominated by Katie Besly. Katie tells us that, “As Metro Relief’s most skilled case manager, John Little shows his commitment to Housing First principals through his dogged determination to get people off the streets. His motto is ‘Go where others don’t. Do what others won’t.’ He does not give up when cases get difficult, when restrictions mount… or when obstacles arise. He is committed to seeking new solutions…” Congratulations, John!
