Watch the 2022 COVID-19 Point-in-Time (PIT) Homeless Count Kickoff

Once a year, along with communities across the country, we, at the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA), count our homeless friends. This Point in Time Count, a requirement under Federal Law, helps communities understand the extent of homelessness, changing trends, and the measure of their success in making homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring. Since we cannot gather this year, we came together, virtually, for a COVID-19 Point in Time (PIT) Homeless Count Kickoff.

The event featured the Honorable Eric Johnson, Mayor of the City of Dallas, the Honorable John Muns, Mayor of the City of Plano, Ashley Brundage, Homeless Collaborative of Dallas and Collin Counties Board Chair, Peter Brodsky, MDHA Board Chair, Joli Angel Robinson, MDHA President and CEO, Nissy New, MDHA COO, and Yolanda Williams, Vice Chair of the Homeless Collaborative Point-in-Time Count Workgroup.
